Keeping Southern California locked since February 2018, CHNR was born in Los Angeles, CA USA.
During the years of 2013 - 2016, Nocturne was resident DJ for a Los Angeles radio station which would showcase Electronic music on the weekends. Nocturne was known as DJ Turiz at the time but was allowed to play genres such as House, Dance, Big Room (EDM) and Trance. In 2017, the FM station had a change in programming and during that year the idea was born to create a new show dedicated to House music. Episode 001 was released in 2018 and after only 4 episodes, CHNR took a hiatus for the remaining part of that year.
In April of 2019, Episode 005 of CHNR returned to an international audience as CHNR became a bi-weekly 2 hour show for a UK Online Radio Station. The UK Online Radio Station asked Digital Audio Kingz to fill a 2nd hour for the station. Digital Audio Kingz would later create "The DJ MORE Selection & Nocturne Sessions" and eventually the Guest Mix as a 2nd hour of programming.
In 2020 as we entered a new decade, DJ Turiz created the alias of Nocturne to Mix & Produce Electronic music for CHNR. While it seemed that the entire world had stop, the pandemic allowed the show to blossom and become a weekly mixshow. During this time is when Nocturne really began to drive the show into the next level by promoting, and working on music production. During the Summer of 2020, we packed our bags and headed south to our second home in San Diego CA, USA since 2007.
In 2021, the original UK Based station that gave CHNR It's first airplay closed down. But as the saying goes, "When one door closes, another door opens". In 2021 a new partnership was formed with a different UK Based radio station as Digital Audio Kingz began working closely with Beach Radio. Nocturne from DAK began doing shows and also would include a new resident guest mixer to CHNR. You can catch Brutus from Beach Radio on CHNR's Guest Mix every first episode of the month.
In the Fall of 2022, CHNR became a syndicated program with an online radio station in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the Spring of 2023, CHNR joined forces with the UK Powerhouse known as Data Transmission to broadcast 2 shows a month.
